How to reach Kaziranga National Park

 Kaziranga National Park is located in Assam is very popular for its unique wildlife. It is spread across the Brahmaputra River floodplains. Its forest, wetlands and grasslands are home for tigers, elephants and this park contains largest number of Indian single-horned rhinoceros. How to reach Kaziranga National Park

By Road

This National Park is situated on NH 37 route. It is well connected to some of the major cities like Guwahati, Sibsagar, Nagaon, Dibrugarh, Tezpur and Jorhat. The nearest bus stop is Kohora on the National Highway 37. You can also reach Kaziranga by bus from Guwahati city. Bus service is available in morning 6am-9am and in afternoon 5pm-10pm.

By Air

The nearest airport in Kaziranga is Jorhat Airport, also known as Rowriah Airport. It has 105 km and it takes 2 hrs to reach this airport. Guwahati Airport is the major airport near kaziranga and is at 250 km distance from kaziranga. All the major airlines are connected with Guwahati airport from Bagdogra, Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chennai, Bangalore etc. You can take taxi or cab from Guwahati or Jorhat.

By Train

All major cities of India are well connected to Guwahati via Rajdhani Express and other trains. You can take Silaghat-Senchowa Broadgauge Passenger Train Service between Guwahati – Silaghat via Jakhalabanda to reach Kaziranga. Jakhalabanda is the nearest station. From Jakhalabanda you need to take either bus or private taxi to reach Kaziranga which is around 30-minute drive. Furkating is another major rail station located near Kaziranga. The distance of Furkating station to Kaziranga National Park is 98km and it takes 1 hour 30 minutes.
